Step inside and discover Krest, Kronos Homes' luxury show home in Torrelodones.
The Krest show home is truly unique. Designed by Morph with interior design by Adriana Nicolau, it is located on the exclusive Las Marías estate in Torrelodones. Also located in the same area is Onix. Together with Krest, these two Kronos Homes projects are situated on the Las Marías estate in Torrelodones, each boasting a very distinct personality.
In contrast to the sobriety and elegance of Onix, Krest features a more avant-garde design, very much in line with the Eden by Kronos Homes project, also by Morph. Its alternating oblique planes create a volume that stands out for its expressiveness.
However, while Eden was a Mediterranean house set in an urban plot facing the coast, Krest becomes almost a mountain retreat. It is capable of blending seamlessly with the vegetation and terrain of the Guadarrama mountain range, even incorporating the characteristic granite formations of the Madrid mountain range into its gardens and common areas.
This creates a contrast between the solidity of the stone and the sharp lines of the architecture. This is further contrasted by the linearity and order of the interior layout, which is illuminated by small courtyards that run through the house from floor to ceiling and function as skylights.
It is precisely this versatility and modularity of Krest's interiors that provides an ideal canvas for Adriana Nicolau, whose interior designs are renowned for their ability to bring warmth and create a welcoming environment in any circumstance.
In this way, while maintaining the connection with the exterior, the spaces flow continuously, maintaining a common thread throughout the home, yet subtly highlighting the elemental function of each room.
Krest is the result of a combination of nature, architecture, and interior design that invites one to experience the house within its context, without the need for artificial transformation or intervention.
This is an example of how it is possible to inhabit the environment with respect, where the architecture becomes an almost sculptural element, capable of highlighting the beauty of the landscape without betraying its essence.
