DNA's vision, with Aryanour Djalali at the helm, focuses on creating avant-garde, organic and technologically advanced designs, where architectural expression fuses elements of landscape, technology and constructive innovation. Their design philosophy focuses on the spiritual and emotional needs of the inhabitants, seeking to establish a balance between humanity, the city and the natural environment.
DNA finds inspiration in diverse places and occasions, including changes in living spaces to incorporate an emotional approach to our cities. Each DNA project is unique, with its own personality and essence, inspired by the shapes, colours and structures of nature. By working in this way, they aim to ensure that each building becomes an icon and reflects the place in which it is located, as well as the culture and character of its inhabitants.
DNA's work aims to establish a harmonious balance between the residents, the city and the natural environment. Consequently, its design approach is based on achieving maximum integration between the building and its surroundings. From this perspective, DNA's architects are responsible for turning initial abstract ideas into coherent projects that fit both the context and the studio's unique identity. The aim is to create a distinctive architectural DNA that, while independent of the location, is closely linked to it. Its innovative and avant-garde architecture combines conventional elements such as "work", "leisure" and "housing", seeking a harmony between the purely pragmatic and the utopian vision.
In his work with us, DNA has designed The Kube by Kronos Homes, a spectacular residential development located in the cultural centre of Tarragona, next to the Espai Cultural Tabacalera. Its location and volumetry, with a 19-storey tower, make it an urban landmark and a new landmark in the city's skyline. With it, the authors of such spectacular projects as Amira District, El Nido Boutique Hotel and Cocoon Hotel & Resort, in Mexico; or the Infinito Tower, in Hong Kong, deepen their commitment to sustainability. In this sense, Aryanour Djalali points out that "in recent times, we have seen that trends are moving towards a sustainable vision of sustainable construction in full balance with the environment, also towards a model of a resilient city in permanent interaction with nature. And this means going back to our origins, i.e. a fusion between architecture and nature.
To become one of the main references in the field of urban planning, landscaping and architecture. DNA Arquitectos, a studio founded in 2003 by Aryanour Djalali, was created for this purpose. Of Iranian origin, the latter was born in Rabat (Morocco), lived all his childhood in Palma de Mallorca and chose Barcelona as the headquarters of a firm that has collaborated, among other property developers, with Kronos Homes.
DNA stands for DNA. And behind the firm is a highly creative multidisciplinary team in which architects work closely together with structural and environmental engineers to shape projects characterised by a sustainable approach. Within its architectural services, DNA designs different types of buildings:
In addition, the firm's range of services includes asset management, urban and landscape planning, interior design, consultancy and engineering. Within the latter, technological and IT solutions play an important role. For example, BIM (Building Information Modelling) methodology.
"The BIM platform allows us to control the construction process. In projects where we have used this technology, all design steps have been improved not only by working on a single collaborative model, but also through more efficient management of the construction process," said Aryanour Djalali in an interview with a well-known manufacturer of ceramics, kitchen furniture and bathroom elements.
DNA Arquitectos' unique understanding of architecture has been the subject of numerous awards and recognitions. Among them, the following:
Far from being limited to the Spanish market, DNA Arquitectura has a global vision that has led the studio to design projects all over the world. As already mentioned, DNA's projects range from residential and multifunctional buildings to hotels and resorts, luxury homes, hospitals, educational centres... Of all the projects carried out to date, the studio highlights the following:
And among the most outstanding projects of the DNA studio, we could not miss one developed for Kronos Homes. We are referring to The Kube, a residential development that has become an urban icon in Tarragona due to its most identifying characteristics:
Speaking about The Kube, Saïd Hejal, CEO of Kronos Homes, points out that "for us it is essential to add value with a design that is a true sign of identity. That is why we trust in prestigious architects and in the local talent of studios such as DNA Barcelona Architects".
Aryanour Djalali, in defining architecture, says that, for him, "it is a way of transmitting creativity, a way of interpreting passion and the fusion of technique and art".
